A Lock Pick Snap Gun, also known as a bump key gun, was originally designed to give law enforcement a quick way to pick locks without any skill. The gun can be used to pick most double track, pin and disk tumbler locks, plus with practice it can work as fast as 2 seconds. Gun comes with three picking needles and one tension wrench.

How to Use a Snap Gun

- Insert the snap gun into the keyway of the lock ensuring the tension bar is properly positioned against the lock; just like traditional lock picking, tension is crucial.
- Apply slight rotational tension to the tension knob or bar in the direction that the key would turn to unlock the lock.
- The snap gun has a trigger you press to "bump" the pins inside the lock. When you press the trigger the snap gun delivers a sharp impact that causes the pins to jump momentarily. The key is to apply tension while bumping the pins. As you bump the pins, you may feel some feedback through the tension tool. This feedback indicates that the pins are starting to set.
- While applying tension, continue bumping the pins until you feel the lock's core begin to rotate slightly. This indicates that the pins are properly aligned and the lock is about to open.
- As the lock starts to rotate, use the included tension tool to turn the lock the rest of the way to unlock it.
